bonnie kagan fine art appraiserBonnie Kagan offers clients over twenty years of experience as an art professional, gallery owner and director, consultant for collection building as well as art advisor and appraiser.

Presently Ms. Kagan is specializing in appraising art from estates and preparing the art to be sold into the secondary market.  This preparation includes appraising, condition reports, provenance and authentication research, and restoration if necessary, as well as advising on selling into the best market, or brokering a sale.  Note:  the appraiser cannot be the one to broker the sale.

Written appraisal reports are done for insurance scheduling, charitable donations for tax credits, estate settlements, divorce and equitable distribution, damage and loss in insurance claims, and dispute settlements.   All appraisals are prepared with the highest and most up to date standards according to the "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice" (USPAP).

Areas of special knowledge and experience include:  American 19th and 20th Century, which includes Post War and Contemporary American, European 19th century, French and American Impressionism, Modernism and Abstract Expressionism styles for paintings drawings, sculpture original prints and photographs.
