Kagan Fine Art provides certified Appraisals for fine art. We have special expertise in American and International fine art, 20th Century, as well as the late 19th Century.
Our appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), which is promulgated by the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation, authorized by congress as the Source of Appraisal Standards and Appraiser Qualifications, Washington, DC.
The Director, Bonnie Kagan
Ms. Kagan is a member of the Appraiser’s Association of America, the American Society of Appraisers (candidate), and Arttable.
Ms. Kagan holds a BA from York University in Toronto, certificates from the Appraisal Studies Program: Personal Property, Fine Art, from George Washington University. Ms. Kagan holds a certificate of achievement for completing the course, “Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice” (USPAP), 2002, 2006, 2011 and 2013.
In 1984 Ms. Kagan launched the Kagan Gallery, Inc. in Toronto, which specialized in contemporary fine art. The Gallery represented contemporary artists, and built large scale collections for many corporate clients including Suncor, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Bank as well as many private collections. Operating the gallery afforded Ms. Kagan a wealth of very broad experience in the art market and community.
Ms. Kagan established Kagan Fine Art, Kagan Appraisals, located in New York City, which provides USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant appraisals.
